Hypnotherapy is a way of accessing the client’s subconscious mind by inducing a state of relaxation. In this responsive state, it becomes possible to elicit positive changes through suggestion and guidance. During our sessions I use many varied techniques to get you into a relaxed and receptive state. These can include visualization or guided imagery, breath work or meditative techniques, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques, as well as Ericksonian methods and Gestalt techniques. When you are both mentally, physically, and psychically relaxed, your subconscious mind is able to communicate to your conscious mind and tap into your brain’s in depth capacity for creative and intuitive healing. If you have ever day dreamed, or stared into space, or been lost in thought, this is a form of trance and is very similar to the hypnotic state of mind.
